O R D E R

From and out of an aggregate extent of 2 hectares and 86 ares owned by the petitioner in survey Nos.600/1A and 605B/2A1A, an extent of 26.50 ares was acquired by the respondents. A copy of the award was served on the petitioner in Court while W.P.(MD) No.22321 of 2025 was taken up for hearing. The petitioner seeks the reference of the matter for enhanced compensation to the appropriate Court in terms of Section 8 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for both the respondents. He submits that the petitioner's request for reference has been received within the period of limitation and that reference would be made within ten (10) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. In view of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's request and make the reference in terms of Section 8 of the Tamil Nadu 2/4

Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997. Such reference shall be made within a period of ten (10) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
