ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide adequate police protection for the life of the petitioner and their usage of properties in Survey Nos.90/12A and 90/12B of Melakadumbagudi Village, Kalayar Kovil Taluk, Sivagangai District, for cutting the Karuveela trees standing in the above said properties by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.09.2025.

2. Leanred counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has also filed a petition to implead the persons namely Muthukarupaiah, Hariraman, Muthuraman, Poovalingam, Ganesan, Rajakumari and Vellaisamy as respondents 3 to 9 in this writ petition. 2/4

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 21.09.2025 is received and it is pending for enquiry before the second respondent police.

4. Heard either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the submission made by both the parties, the respondent police is directed to issue summons to the petitioner as well as the rival parties mentioned supra under Section 64 of BNSS and thereafter conclude the enquiry within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if the petitioner's plight is found genuine, further directed to afford necessary police protection as required.
