ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court challenging the communication dated 15.02.2025 issued by the second respondent, whereby the petitioner's application seeking electricity service connection to his dwelling house bearing Door No.398, situated in Survey No.95A/18 at Thoppu Street, Mela Thirupuvanam, Saliyamangalam Village, Papanasam Taluk, came to be rejected. 2.The application was rejected on the ground that the petitioner had not furnished the property tax receipt relating to the dwelling house and that there was no electrical wiring in the said premises. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relevant property tax receipts would be produced before the second respondent. It is further submitted that the dwelling house has proper electrical wiring and that an electric pole is situated nearby, making it 2/5

feasible to draw a service line and provide electricity connection to the petitioner's house.

4.In light of the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh application seeking electricity service connection to the said dwelling house along with all relevant documents.

5.Upon receipt of such application, the second respondent shall inspect the dwelling house and verify the documents produced by the petitioner. If the petitioner is found entitled to electricity service connection, the second respondent shall complete the necessary formalities and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the fresh application. 6.There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
