O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to disburse the petitioner Voluntary Retirement Scheme Compensation of Rs.29,176/- along with 6 percent interest .

2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law.

3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated Voluntary Retirement Scheme Compensation benefits payable to the petitioner from the date of his entitlement till the date of his payment within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
