Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse interest at the rate of 6 percent for the belated payment of retirement benefits, Gratuity, Provident Fund, Leave Salary and Commutation and pass such other or further orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse interest at the rate of 6 percent for the belated payment of retirement benefits, Gratuity, Provident Fund, Leave Salary and Commutation.
2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law.
3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated terminal benefits payable to the petitioner from the date of his entitlement till the date of his payment within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
