Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records on the file of the 2nd respondent in connection with the impugned Notifications issued in Advertisement Nos. R35/MKU/DDE/2013 to R44/MKU/DDE/2013 and R45/MKU/DDE/2013 to R52/MKU/DDE/2013 dated 27/04/2013 and 28/04/2013 respectively and quash the same and consequently direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to fill up the backlog vacancies for SC/SC that is kept vacant since 2000 in transparent and fair manner within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Honourable Court.

Challenging the impugned notifications dated 27.04.2013 and 28.04.2013 issued by the second respondent and to fill up backlog vacancies for SC and ST in a transparent and fair manner, the present writ petition has been filed.
2.This is sequel to the earlier round of litigation in W.P(MD) Nos.1997, 2102 and 2880 of 2006 already decided on 05.12.2006 wherein the same prayer has been made to consider the representation to fill up backlog vacancies for SC and ST.
3.On instructions, learned counsel for the respondents submitted that they have completed the process of filling the backlog vacancies and 29 posts have already been filled and re-advertisement has also been issued in respect of one ST backlog vacancy of Assistant Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science. 4.In view of the above, the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous. However, liberty is granted to the authority to fill up the vacancies in accordance with law. 5.The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
