By relying on a gift deed dated 17.11.2020 and patta No.2189, the petitioner had applied online in July 2024 for a survey of land in Survey No.997/44.

2. Learned counsel submits that survey notices were issued on more than one occasion, but the survey was not concluded.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the survey could not be carried out in view of objections from owners of adjacent lands. He submits that police protection is necessary.

4. The petitioner has placed on record the separate patta in her name in respect of 0.94 ares in survey No.997/44. The preceding title document is also on record. As such, a case is made out to consider the 2/4

petitioner's request. Considering the submissions of learned Additional Government Pleader, it is necessary to issue notice to all relevant adjacent landowners and to consider their objections.

Subject to the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second and third respondents to initiate action on the petitioner's request for a survey after issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands and considering objections, if any, from them. For the avoidance of doubt, it is clarified that the second respondent may decide boundary disputes, whereas, if a credible title dispute were to be raised, the parties should be relegated to the jurisdictional civil court. The entire process shall be concluded within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
