ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to release petitioner's Toyota Etios vehicle bearing Registration No.PY 02 X 3706, which was seized by the third respondent Police.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondents have not produced the said vehicle before the learned Magistrate concerned and hence, the petitioner has filed the instant petition before this Court.

3. In view of the aforesaid submission, the respondents are directed to report the seizure of the petitioner's vehicle to the concerned Court forthwith and on such report, the petitioner shall be at liberty to file an application before the learned Magistrate for return of the said property. It is needless to say that the learned Magistrate shall consider the application filed by the petitioner, if any, on merits and in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction and liberty, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
