Court at Magisterial Level, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District, for the offences under Sections 294(b), 427 and 506(ii) IPC; and in C.C.No.230 of 2025 on the file of the Additional Mahila Court at Magisterial Level, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District, registered for the offences under Sections 329(3), 324(4), 296(b), 351 (3) BNS and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

2. The accused in one case is the defacto complainant in the other case. The allegations in both the cases which were registered as case and case in counter and the gist of the allegation in the impugned final reports are that on account of a dispute with neighbours, the petitioners in each of the cases are attacked the defacto complainant and other victims and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsels for the petitioners in both the cases would submit that due to the intervention of the elders, the parties have now arrived at a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed joint compromise memos dated 22.11.2025.

4. The petitioners and the defacto complainant in both the cases are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.Robin, HC 1041, Ethamozhi Police Station, Kanniyakumari District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of allegations and the relationship, the compromise arrived between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final reports are quashed in entirety and the Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. The joint compromise memos dated 22.11.2025 shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. The petitioners shall jointly pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- in each case as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
