ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay 6% interest amount of Rs.2,56,460/- for the belated payment of Terminal Benefits amounts of Rs.23,71,024/- such as P.F., Gratuity and Leave Salary amounts payable to the petitioner's husband from the date of her husband's death ie., on 21.05.2023 to till the date of actual payment made to the petitioner ie., 10.03.2025.

2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law.

3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated terminal benefits payable to the petitioner from the date of her entitlement till the date of her payment within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
