The patta in respect of survey No.215/19 was in the name of Annamalai Chettiyar. On the ground that the petitioner inherited the said property from him, the petitioner filed an appeal seeking cancellation of the patta transfer order dated 27.12.2022. Such appeal is pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer. The petitioner seeks the early disposal thereof.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 3. He submits that the first respondent would consider and dispose of the appeal on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the pattadar.

3. In view of the above submissions of the learned Additional Government Pleader, it is not necessary to issue notice to the fourth respondent in this Writ Petition. Instead, without expressing any opinion 2/4

on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal within three

(3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the pattadar/fourth respondent. No costs.
