.. Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay interest for seven months at the rate of 12% per annum for the delayed payment of statutory Provident Fund amount of Rs.3,45,634/-.

ORDER

The learned counsel for the respondents states that the writ petitioner was allowed to retire from service on 31.05.2011 and the terminal and retirement benefits due to the writ petitioner was already settled.

2.However, the learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the interest for the belated payment has not been settled. In this regard, the petitioner is permitted to submit a fresh representation and on receipt of any such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same in accordance with Rules for grant of interest of the belated to settlement of terminal benefits and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, without causing any undue delay.

4.With this observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
