ORDER

The petitioners seek for quashing of the FIR in Crime No.79 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, would submit that the investigation has been completed and a final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai.

3.According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the final report was filed on 18.03.2025. However, the learned Magistrate has not yet taken cognizance. Hence, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai, is directed to expedite the process of taking cognizance and conclude the said process within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report, if so advised. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
