By stating that the petitioner is carrying on agricultural work as a coolie on daily wage basis and that he belongs to the marginalised community, the petitioner had applied for a free house site patta. The present Writ Petition relates thereto.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is unable to obtain accommodation even on rental basis. He also states that the petitioner is married and has an 8 year old daughter to be taken care of.

3. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents. On instructions, he states that the eligibility of the petitioner would be verified and if it is found that the petitioner is eligible, a free house site patta would be issued.

4. By taking note of the above submissions of learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the Tahsildar to 2/4

verify whether the petitioner is eligible for the grant of a free house site pattas under any of the relevant schemes of the Government. If so, the Tahsildar is directed to take necessary measures to allot such free house site patta within four (4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
