ORDER

The petitioner seeks to quash the impugned FIR registered for the alleged offences under Sections 465 and 471 I.P.C. 1/5

2. The gist of the allegation is that the first accused, who is the aunt of the defacto complainant, had claimed ownership of the disputed property, by creating an impression that her husband was the only legal heir and sold the same to the petitioner and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. Admittedly, the petitioner and the second respondent are close relatives and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The defacto complainant had also sold her share to the petitioner, who had purchased the property from A1 and the defacto complainant is not willing to pursue the F.I.R as against all the accused. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 21.11.2025.

4. The petitioner and the second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.R.Arunachalam, Sub Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Sivagangai District. The defacto complainant does not wish to pursue the case as against all the 2/5

accused. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

Considering the nature of the allegation, the relationship and the compromise arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.20 of 2024 is quashed in entirety and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 21.11.2025, shall form part and parcel of the order. The petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. 24.11.2025 Index: Yes/ No Speaking Order / Non-Speaking Order LS 3/5
