ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to secure and produce the petitioner's daughter, namely Sathyapriya, W/o.Deventhiran, aged about 17 years, before this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3.The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. She lodged a complaint before the second respondent alleging that her minor daughter had been missing since 02.11.2025.

4.On receipt of the said complaint, the second respondent registered an F.I.R in Crime No.109 of 2025. While pending enquiry, the detenu herself, along with the third respondent appeared before the second respondent and the victim has now been produced before this Court.

5.The victim attained the age of majority as on 30.11.2025. She deposed before this Court that she had fallen in love with the third respondent and she intends to live with him. 6.The petitioner also appeared before this Court and deposed that she wants to have custody of her daughter. 7.However, the detenu, having attained majority, has expressed her unwillingness to go with her parents. She further deposed that she had gone to Tirupur for work along with the third 3/5

respondent. She stated that she was not kidnapped by anyone and had gone to Tirupur on her own volition.

8.In view of the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of.
