ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue a passport to the petitioner by processing the petitioner's application No. ARN 25-1065171686, taking into consideration the explanation/representation dated 13.11.2025, within the stipulated time.

2. It is submitted that the petitioner's application has been kept pending due to the pendency of a First Information Report. However, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) informed this Court that the criminal proceedings pending against the petitioner have since been dropped.

3. In view of the above, there is no impediment to direct the first respondent to process the passport application of the petitioner. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to process the aforesaid application of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. This writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs. Index :
