Alaudheen, For Respondents : Mr.K.Sanjai Gandhi, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for R1 : Mr.G.B.Kaveri Mani for R2 COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions are filed to quash the impugned final reports in C.C.No.800 of 2025 on the file Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai District, filed for the offences under Sections 296(b), 191(2), 191(3), 115(2), 118(1), 351 BNS @ Sections 296(b), 191(2), 191(3), 115(2), 118(1), 351 and 3(5) BNS; and in C.C.No.802 of 2025 on the file Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai District, filed for the offences under Sections 296(b), 191(2), 191(3), 115(2), 118(1), 351 BNS @ Sections 296(b), 191(2), 191(3), 115(2), 118(1), 351 and 3(5) BNS.

2. The accused in one case is the defacto complainant in the other case. The allegations in both the cases which were registered as case and 3/6

case in counter and culminated in the impugned final reports are that dispute between two groups in a Jamath, they attacked each other with hands and sticks, and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsels for the petitioners in both the cases would submit that due to the intervention of the elders, the parties have now arrived at a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed joint compromise memos dated 21.11.2025.

4. The petitioners and the defacto complainant in both the cases are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.B.Kabiroli, SSI, Kottampatti Police Station, Madurai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of allegations and the relationship, the compromise arrived between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final reports are quashed and 4/6

the Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. The joint compromise memos dated 21.11.2025 shall form part and parcel of this order. The petitioners shall jointly pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- in each case as costs to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, and file a photocopy of the receipts along with a memo reporting compliance before the Registry. 25.11.2025 NCC : Yes Index : Yes Internet : Yes LS TO
