Heard both sides.
2. PIL in W.P.(MD)No.30673 of 2025 was filed before us.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 30.10.2025, it was disposed of by us in the following terms:- "2.The writ petitioner is a resident Tirunelveli Town. His specific allegation is that Madarkan canal running through Tiruneveli Town has been severely encroached by the residents. He, therefore, wants the encroachments to be removed. He also wants canal to be de-silted. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader, on written instructions, submitted that encroachments have been identified and that all the encroachments will be removed positively by 2/4

Pursuant to the undertaking given before us, respondents are clearing all the encroachments. The petitioner is said to be affected by the said action. The petitioner states that his house and the main road are separated by a water channel and unless he has the right to put up a detachable iron bridge, his right of ingress and egress will be severely affected. Seeking the aforesaid relief, this writ petition has been filed.
4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate on instructions states that if the petitioner approaches the third respondent, permission will be given on appropriate terms and conditions. Recording the said concession made by the third respondent, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
