ORDER

The petitioner asserts that his father had purchased 6 cents of land in S.No.641/2, whereas patta was issued to him only for 3.7 cents.

2. According to the petitioner, patta was erroneously granted to one Meenatchi and Vellasamy. After submitting representations for grant of patta to the petitioner, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the petitioner's request is pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sankarankovil. He states that a speaking order would be issued after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the current pattadhar.

4. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider and 2/4

dispose of the petitioner's request for grant of patta after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the current pattadhar. A speaking order shall be issued within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
