Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the encroachment made in the water channel and pathway in S.F.No.35/5A2, Remakambi Village, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.09.2012 and 02.03.2013 [wrongly mentioned in the prayer as '02.03.2012'], within the time framed by this Court. [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner submitted a representation on 02.03.2013 to the Tahsildar, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy and Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Lalgudi, to take action against the fourth respondent and remove the encroachment. Since follow-up action was not taken by the Jurisdictional Tahsildar, in spite of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

proceedings dated 10.12.2012 on the file of the third respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. We direct the Tahsildar, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy, the second respondent herein, to take appropriate action, taking into account the representation submitted by the petitioner on 02.03.2013 and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to point out that notice should be issued to the fourth respondent before taking any action in the matter.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
