(Engineering) qualification along with B.Ed. (Physical Science) with Master's Degree in Physics, for eligibility for appointment to the post of P.G. Assistant (Physics), on par with G.O. (Ms) No.16 dated 04.02.2025, within such time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking Mandamus directing the 1st Respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.10.2025 to constitute an appropriate committee/council to decide the equivalence of M.E. (Engineering) qualification along with B.Ed. (Physical Science) with Master's Degree in Physics, for eligibility for appointment to the post of P.G. Assistant (Physics), on par with G.O. (Ms) No.16 dated 04.02.2025, within such time frame stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.T.Thiraviyam, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.T.Amjadkhan, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the third respondent. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/5

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has submitted a representation to the respondents requesting them to consider issuance of an equivalence certificate in respect of Master degree in Engineering as like P.G.Physics. However, the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.10.2025 on its own merits and pass order, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
