ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) The grievance of the petitioner is as against the sale of illegal lottery tickets in Dindigul District. He has made a representation in this regard on 29.08.2025.

2.Mr.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader appears for the District Collector, Dindigul District/R1 and Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate for the Superintendent of Police and Inspector of Police, Dindigul District/R2 & R3. R4 is a private respondent as against whom the grievances are aired. 3.Mr.Kottaichamy states that similar complaints have been received in respect of other persons as well, who are alleged to be engaged in sale of illegal lotteries and that 13 First Information Reports have been filed. Hence, enquiry appears to be on-going in this regard. 2/4

4.Hence, it would suffice, and a direction is given to R2, to look into the grievances of the petitioner and his representation dated 29.08.2025 and to file a First Information Report, if it is so found appropriate and proceed further in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

5.The grievance of the petitioner stands achieved by virtue of this order, and Mandamus is issued as sought for. This Writ Petition is disposed. No costs.
