Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb and also to protect the petitioner's properties comprised in S.Nos.139/15 A, 15 B, 2, 3A, 3 B and 9 situated at Kasavalanadu Pudur, Thanjavur District in the light of the judgment and decree passed in O.S.No.195 of 2022 by the learned Principal Subordinate Court, Thanjavur dated 05.03.2025. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the second respondent to provide police protection to protect the petitioner's possession of her properties in S.Nos.139/15 A, 15 B, 2, 3A, 3 B and 9 situated at Kasavalanadu Pudur, Thanjavur District pursuant to the judgment and decree passed in O.S.No.195 of 2022 by the Principal Subordinate Court, Thanjavur dated 05.03.2025.

2. The prayer in the Writ Petition in effect is for a direction to the respondent Police to execute the decree in favour of the petitioner. The respondent Police has no jurisdiction to do so. If the petitioner is aggrieved by non-compliance of any judgment and decree of the Civil Court, it is open to her to move the Execution Court. It is also not known whether the third respondent has challenged the said decree. Hence, no direction as prayed for can be issued.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
