ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the first respondent's Proceedings in Na. Ka. No.4948/2025/Pa4 dated 14.05.2025 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner as Overseer under the jurisdiction of the Assistant Director of Town Panchayat, Kanniyakumari viz., the third respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the order of suspension has been issued as early on 14.05.2025 and the same was also been followed up in the charge memo issued in the month of June 2025 and the Enquiry Officer had been appointed as early as in the month of July 2025 and thereafter, he has not proceeded further. 2/5

In view of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondents to conclude disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner under the charge memo dated 10.06.2025 to the logical conclusion on or before 31.01.2026 and the petitioner is also directed to co-operate with the enquiry. The time line shall be strictly adhered to by the respondents to complete the proceedings before 31.01.2026 and the respondents are also entitled to proceed further, if there is any delay on the part of the petitioner to appear before the respondents on the date fixed for his appearance.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No Costs.
