ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conduct an enquiry and dispose of the petitioners' appeal dated 01.11.2025, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have filed an appeal dated 01.11.2025 before the first respondent seeking to cancel the Patta and restore revenue records with regard to the subject property in the name of the petitioners. Despite the lapse of considerable time, the first respondent has not conducted the enquiry or disposed of the appeal. Hence,
the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' appeal will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioners' appeal dated 01.11.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
