ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) The subject matter of this writ petition is the claim of the Cherikaruppar temple at Annavasal Village, Illuppur, Pudukkottai District ('temple') for patta for the land in Natham S.No.606/13 admeasuring 2.47 Ares (6.10 cents) at Annavasal Village, Illuppur, Pudukkottai District. The petitioner claims to be the temple poojari.

2. The resolution of the prayer would involve the assimilation and marshalling of various factual aspects, including ascertaining the proper classification of the land. All interested parties would have to be heard as well. This exercise cannot be undertaken in a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution. Hence, it would be more appropriate to direct the authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner seeking the same relief.

3. It appears that the petitioner has made several 2/4

representations on the same subject matter and hence, there is a direction to the Tahsildar, Iluppur Taluk, Pudukkottai District / R3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2025 and others that have been placed in the typedset. The petitioner and others in the community are permitted to appear before the Tahsildar, Iluppur Taluk, Pudukkottai District / R3 on any day at noon between the 1st and 5th of December, 2025.

4. The Tahsildar, Iluppur Taluk, Pudukkottai District, / R3 is directed to grant them audience, hear their grievances and pass orders in accordance with law, after consideration of the revenue records and hearing the views of other interested persons as well, within a period of six weeks from date of hearing. This writ petition stands disposed. No costs.
