ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to give possession of the land situated in Survey No.52/6 (Extent of 67 cents) at Kanchirangal Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.10.2025.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he has submitted a representation requesting possession of the above-mentioned land. Despite the submission, the first respondent has not taken any action thereon, thereby causing undue hardship to the petitioner. The petitioner has a legal and/or equitable right over the said land, and there is no valid reason for withholding possession. The delay or inaction on

the part of the first respondent amounts to a violation of the petitioner's statutory and fundamental rights. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 09.10.2025, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner, as well as all other persons, who may be interested in the subject matter, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the first respondent to consider the same on its own merits. There shall be no order as to costs.
