This criminal original petition has been filed to set aside return docket order dated 20.11.2025 in unnumbered Crl.M.P.(SR)No.4140 of 2025 passed by the District Sessions Judge, Karur, and directing the District Sessions Judge, Karur, to take number the extension of time petition on file by the petitioner and consequently, proceed with the case in accordance with law within the stipulated time.

2.Challenging the impugned order passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Karur, in Cr.MP.No.1034 of 2025 in C.A.No.160 of of 2025 dated 27.06.2025, the petitioner, who was the appellant in C.A.No.160 of of 2025, filed a petition in Crl.M.P.(SR)No.4140 of 2025 in Cr.MP.No.1034 of 2025 in C.A.No.160 of of 2025 seeking an extension of time to deposit 25% of the compensation amount before the trial court. The learned Sessions judge, Karur, had dismissed the said application on 20.11.2025, for the reason that the petitioner has not complied with the condition and failed to file the extension of time petition within a time.

3. Considering the limited scope of relief sought by the petitioner, this petitioner is directed to deposit 25% of compensation amount before the trial court within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which, the impugned order dated 20.11.2025, will be automatically restored.
