Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner states that the petitioner's mother passed away on 01.12.1998 at Chokkalingapuram main road, Melur Taluk. The death intimation was not given immediately. In such cases of belated registration, it is the Revenue Divisional Officer who is the authority competent to register. The petitioner has given representation dated 11.11.2024.

3.The first respondent is directed to hold enquiry and dispose of the writ petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 2/4
