Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the respondent to recalculate the Ex-gratia amount (Special Benefits) for the 28 completed years of service as per the Voluntary Retirement Scheme, 1992 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 12.09.2025, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Honourable High Court and pass such other or further orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice. ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent to recalculate the Ex-gratia amount (Special Benefits) for the 28 completed years of service as per the Voluntary Retirement Scheme, 1992 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 12.09.2025.

2. Even though the petitioner has sought for a positive Mandamus, it is seen that the petitioner has made a representation on 12.09.2025 for the very same relief.

3.In view of the same, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
