ORDER
The above writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned communication dated 11.11.2025 (Letter Ref.SCN/1052247200/25) issued by the Respondent and quash the same and direct the Respondent to consider and consequently process the petitioner's passport Reissue Application in File No.MD1075851089425 and issue a fresh passport with the correct date of birth 11.04.1966."
2. A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner was issued with passport in the year 1986, wherein the date of birth is shown as 14.09.1962. However, the petitioner at the time of seeking re-issuance of passport had made a request to the authorities to re-issue the passport incorporating the correct date of birth as 11.04.1966. This request has been rejected on the ground that the petitioner is using the passport from the year 1986 onwards and therefore, such a request cannot be entertained. This order is put to challenge in the present writ petition. 2/4
3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner all the official documents viz., Aadhaar card, Pan card, Voter ID, Driving license and School certificate reflect the correct date of birth viz., 11.04.1966. Therefore, he finds it difficult to get his employment abroad.

Considering the fact that all the official records including the school records indicate that the date of birth of the petitioner as 11.04.1966, the respondent authorities herein are directed to re-issue passport to the writ petitioner incorporating the date of birth of the petitioner as 11.04.1966. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 4 weeks.
5. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
