O R D E R

This writ petitioner has been filed seeking Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue passport to the petitioner vide passport application file No.MD2065825686025 dated 27.10.2025.

2. Heard the arguments of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sivachandran, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.S.Prakash, learned Government Advocate (crl.side), who takes notice on behalf of the second respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. It is informed that the petitioner is an accused in C.C.No.297 of 2025 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sengottai.

4. The petitioner would now submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass order.

5. In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 27.10.2025 in the light of Section 6 of the Passport Act and pass orders, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
