Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to carry out survey and demarcate the petitioners' property in S.No. 183/6C, (measuring 0-0.18 Ares) Govindapuram Village, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanjavur District, with necessary police protection, based on the petitioners' application dated 29.04.2025, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

By relying on a patta in the name of late Sadagopan, the present Writ Petition has been presented by the agent of the legal heirs of the late Sadagopan seeking a survey of the land in survey No.183/6C.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the survey application was received on 29.04.2025, but no action has been taken till date. He confirms that there is no rival title claim.

3. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for both the respondents. He submits that action would be taken on the application and that the entire process would be concluded within three (3) months.

4. By relying on a separate patta in the name of the late Sadagopan and the legal heir certificate disclosing the names of the Class-I legal 2/4

heirs of the late Sadagopan, the request for a survey was made. As narrated earlier, learned counsel for the petitioner confirms that there is no rival title claim.

5. In the above facts and circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to initiate action on the petitioners' request for a survey after issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands and considering objections, if any, from them. The entire process shall be concluded within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
