O R D E R

This writ petition seeks a direction to the second respondent to grant Patta to Dhanalakshmi based on her application No. 2025/0154/15/010878 dated 23.09.2025, relating to the land in Town Survey No. 10/6, Block No. 01, AO Panjappur, Ponmalai Zone, Tiruchirappalli City Corporation, Tiruchirappalli West Taluk, Trichy District, within the prescribed time frame.

2. The petitioner seeks the indulgence of this Court to direct the second respondent to grant patta in her name as per her application dated 23.09.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the submission of the application, no action has been taken by the authorities. Aggrieved by this inaction, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submits that the petitioner's application will be considered on merits and in accordance with law. 2/4

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.09.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders in compliance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claim, the parties shall approach the competent civil court. Consequently, no orders are required on the impleading petition in WMP (MD) No. 27718 of 2025, which is accordingly closed. No costs.
