ORDER

This petition is filed seeking to quash the impugned Charge Sheet in C.C.No.183 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, Madurai District, which was filed for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 294(b), 323, 324, 355 and 506(ii) of IPC. 2/6

2. The gist of the allegations in the final report is that the petitioners and the defacto complainant are living in the same village. Due to previous enmity regarding temple issues, on 12.03.2021, at about 08.00 a.m., when the second respondent went to his ancestral temple for praying, at that time, the petitioners abused in filthy language and also assaulted with wooden stick on the defacto complainant's leg and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the defacto complainant/the second respondent would submit that the parties have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 19.11.2025.

4. The petitioners and the second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Ms.S.Michammal, WSSI, Thirumangalam Town Police Station, Madurai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them. 3/6

Considering the nature of allegation and the relationship between the parties, this Court in view of the fact that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned Charge Sheet in C.C.No.183 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, Madurai District, is hereby quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memos dated 19.11.2025 shall form part and parcel of the order.
