ORDER
The petitioners sought for quashing of the FIR registered for the alleged offences under Sections 189(2), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 125, 74, 351(2) BNS (Corresponding to Sections 142, 294(b), 323, 324, 336, 354 and 506(ii) I.P.C).
2. The gist of the allegation is that on account of prior enmity, the petitioners attacked the defacto complainant and the third respondent with hands and sticks, abused in filthy language and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the respondents 2 and 3 have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 27.11.2025.

4. The petitioners and the respondents 2 and 3 are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.K.Ravichandran, Special Sub Inspector of Police, R.S.Mangalam Police Station, Ramanthapuram District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.
5. Considering the nature of the allegation and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 27.11.2025, shall form part and parcel of the order.
