O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the third respondent to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representations dated 23.11.2024, 07.01.2025 and 30.10.2025.

2. The claim of the petitioner is that he is the adopted son of one Rajappa, who was a retired Headmaster of the Secondary Primary School in Punnaiyanallur and the said Rajappa was a pensioner. While so, he passed away on 03.04.2024. After his death, his Canara Bank ATM card and passbook were missing from the house of the petitioner who is the adopted son of the deceased Rajappa. From April 2024 till date, the fourth respondent had fraudulently withdrawn and spent the pension amount credited to the account of the deceased petitioner's father Rajappa. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the third respondent police on 05.05.2024 and based on the said complaint, no action has been taken by the third respondent police. Thereafter, the petitioner had sent Page No. 2 of 5

various representations on three dates. However, no action has been taken so far and hence, this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, on instructions, submitted that already the matter has been taken by the third respondent police and the enquiry will also be concluded as expeditiously as possible within a period of two weeks.

4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of. In view of this order, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to reopen this Writ Petition if the enquiry is not concluded within two weeks as undertaken before this Court.
