The present Writ Petition has been filed for and on behalf of the Madurai East India Corporation Limited. The cause title shows that the petition has been filed by the Managing Director for and on behalf of the company. The Registry shall amend the cause title to reflect that the petitioner is the Madurai East India Corporation Limited, represented by Mr.Karumuthu T. Sundaram, Managing Director.
2. By referring to a patta in the name of the above mentioned entity, learned counsel submits that the Town Survey Land Register erroneously records that the lands are classified as 'Sarkar Poramboku' with the remark that it is 'Nilaviyal Pathai'. Therefore, he submits that a representation was issued to the District Revenue Officer. He seeks a direction to respondents 2 to 4.

3. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the District Revenue Officer has directed the Revenue Divisional Officer to take necessary action.
4. In the above circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing respondents 2 to 4 to initiate action on the petitioner's request for rectification and pass orders thereon on merits within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the Madurai East India Corporation Limited.
