After submitting a representation dated 07.05.2024 before the Commissioner of Land Administration seeking issuance of Ryotwari Patta, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner relies on the recommendation made by the Tahsildar in July 1992 to the Revenue Divisional Officer in respect thereof.
3. Learning Special Government pleader accepts notice for the sole respondent. Because it pertains to records relating to the pre-UDR, he submits that only the Commissioner of Land Administration is empowered to even consider such request.
4. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request on merits within three months from 2/4
date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. No costs.
