This Writ Petition is filed to forbear the second and third respondents from interfering with the running of the recreation club in the name and style of "Sandhanakaatru Recreation Club" by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 07.11.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, categorically submitted that the prayer sought for itself is not maintainable for the reason that the respondent Police can always indulge and monitor the activities of the club and if anything turns illegal, they have the right to interfere and further they have not obtained necessary permission from the local authorities.

However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said club has been registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act and the club is meant for training sport activities, like chess, carom, tennis, table tennis and cricket. They have not obtained any permission from any authority to provide liquor or sell the same and that they do not indulge in playing cards or involving in any illegal activities.

4. Recording that said submissions, it is made clear that the petitioner is permitted to continue the conduct of the said club subject to obtaining necessary permission from the local authority concern. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
