ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the Charge Sheet in C.C.No.155 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, which was filed for the offences under Section 294(b), 324 and 506(2) of IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and the 2nd respondent / defacto complainant are the husband and wife. The 1st petitioner and the 2nd respondent (wife) are husband and wife. The petitioners 2 and 3 are involved in a matrimonial dispute between the 1st petitioner and the 2nd respondent. A complaint was filed against the petitioners under Sections 294(b), 324, and 506(2) IPC r/w Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002 leading to FIR registration. The dispute arose from a quarrel, resulting in minor injuries to the 2nd respondent and her father.

3. The petitioners and the 2nd respondent have amicably settled the dispute. The 1st petitioner and the 2nd respondent are leading a happy matrimonial life. The occurrence was a family dispute, and no offence is made out. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 01.12.2025.

4. The petitioners, namely, G.Karthikeyan (Aadhaar No.7634 3187 4020), Aruneeswaran (Aadhaar No.9578 0930 7335), Kala (Aadhaar No.8476 8591 1551) and the second respondent, namely, Lakshmi Priya (Aadhaar No.5240 4250 5176) are present before this Court in person. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned charge sheet pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.155 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, is quashed and the 3/5
