ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on the basis of his representation dated 19.11.2025.

2. Admittedly, the petitioner and the private respondents entered into a partnership and there were some disputes with regard to sharing of profits. It is the case of the petitioners that the private respondents are repeatedly committing cognizable offences.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the representation of the petitioner only discloses a civil dispute between parties. 4.It is needless to say that the respondent police have no jurisdiction to entertain any civil dispute between partners, However, if 2/4

the petitioner's complaint discloses cognizable offences, the respondent police may take appropriate action in accordance with law.
