O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent herein to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 05.11.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's power agent forged a life certificate, which was not signed by the petitioner and illegally executed three sale deeds in favour of one A. Arunachalam and received a sum of Rs.35,00,000/- as sale consideration in his account. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the second respondent. However, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. He would further submit that the petitioner has already lodged a complaint in this regard before the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch-II, Pudukkottai District, and summons have also been issued in the said complaint.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the present case relates to alleged forgery 2/5

and that the petitioner has to approach the criminal Court under criminal law.

Since the petitioner has already lodged a police complaint with regard to the alleged forgery of the life certificate, once again giving a representation to the official respondents would not arise at all. The Registrar cannot be directed to decide about the ownership of the property by conducting enquiry under Section 77A of the Registration Act. It is only for the competent Civil Court to decide. The Police have already taken cognizance of the complaint and have also issued summons to the accused persons. This Court, therefore, does not find it necessary to interfere under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch-II, Pudukkottai District, is directed to investigate the case and proceed in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, this Court finds no merit in this Writ Petition and the same stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
