ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's complaint lodged before the 2nd respondent by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.11.2025.

It is the case of the petitioner that, due to a dispute regarding the share in the petitioner's gas agency, on 04.11.2025 at about 10.30 a.m., one Balasingam, along with three unknown persons, trespassed into the petitioner's office, threatened him, forcibly asserted that he was a partner, demanded money every month, and also criminally intimidated him. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent police on 04.11.2025 and obtained a receipt in C.S.R.No.1733 of 2025, but no action has been taken so far. The petitioner has also submitted a representation to the respondents on 12.11.2025, but the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. Mr. A. S. Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is not cooperating 2/4

with the enquiry and that if he cooperates with the police authorities, they will duly conclude the enquiry.

5. In view of the above, the second respondent police is directed to issue summons to both parties concerned within a period of one [1] week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, conduct an enquiry in the matter pertaining to C.S.R.No.1733 of 2025 dated 04.11.2025, and conclude the same within a period of two [2] weeks thereafter.
