O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.] Writ of Mandamus filed by a public interest litigant taking exception to the conduct accepted by one of the research scholar of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University on the day of convocation. Though there is some substance in the Writ Petition pointing out an alleged misconduct of the
said scholar on the dais, we find from the University Act and Statute, there is no provision to take action for the alleged misconduct. Therefore, Writ Petition as prayed for is not sustainable.
2.Learned Counsel appearing for the University states that so far the University has not confronted such sort of incident and syndicate will take appropriate decision whether any regulation to be framed to take care of such situation.
3.Recording the same, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
