346/5 and 347/35 which are situated at Sriramasamuthiram Revenue Village, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District within a time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

By asserting that the properties described in paragraph No.2 of the affidavit in support of this Writ Petition were acquired by his father and that the petitioner is entitled thereto on the basis of release deeds executed by three of his sisters and a sale deed executed by the legal heirs of one deceased sister, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer for cancellation of patta standing in the names of respondents 4 to 6. The petitioner seeks the early disposal of such appeal.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents 1 to 3. He submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer would consider and dispose of the appeal on merits within three (3) 2/4

months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. He also submits that a reasonable opportunity would be provided to the petitioner and to all the pattadars.

3. In view of the above submissions of learned Additional Government Pleader, it is not necessary to issue notice to the private respondents in this Writ Petition. Instead, without making any observations on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal on merits within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and all the current pattadars. No costs.
