O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.K. ILANTHIRAIYAN,J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents 1 & 2 to produce the detenu by name Niladevi, aged about 23 years, before this Court.

2. The petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent alleging that his daughter was found missing from 12.11.2025. Based on the complaint, FIR in Cr.No.235 of 2025 has been registered under 'woman missing'. During the investigation, the respondent police found that the detenu got married with Ajithkumar and staying at Kothagiri, within the jurisdiction of Kothagiri Police Station. Today, she appeared through Video Conferencing along with her husband. She deposed that she got married one Ajithkumar and she was

not kidnapped by any one and on her own volition, she left the home. She also apprehends threaten at the hands of the petitioner herein.

3. In view of the above, we find no illegal detention in this case and hence, this habeas corpus petition is dismissed. The Inspector of Police, Kothagiri Police Station is directed to provide adequate police protection to the detenu Niladevi and her husband Ajithkumar, if she is lodged any complaint seeking police protection.
