ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st to 3rd respondents to take appropriate action on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2025 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that his son, one Marisudalai, was employed as a driver at Madura Tubes Private Limited near Madurai Airport for ten years. On 23.05.2025, the petitioner was informed about his son's sudden deterioration in health at the workplace. Medical examination revealed that he had sustained a head injury and showed symptoms of excessive alcohol intake. Consequently, the petitioner's son was admitted to a de-addiction center.
3. It was later revealed by the petitioner's son that he had been assaulted on the workplace by three persons associated with the company, who also threatened him against disclosing the incident. Despite lodging a written complaint dated 25.09.2025 requesting action against the accused persons, the 3rd respondent has not taken any action. Hence, the present petition. 2/5
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side, and have perused the materials available on record.

It is needless to point out that whenever a representation of this nature is made to a Statutory Authority, there is a duty cast upon the respondent to consider the same on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in one way or other instead of keeping the same pending indefinitely. As such, nonconsideration of the representation made by the Statutory Authority would amount to dereliction of duty and hence, this Court will be justified in invoking the extraordinary powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
6. Without going into the merits of this case, this Court hereby direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2025 and deal with in accordance with law and conclude the enquiry within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
