COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions are filed to quash the impugned F.I.Rs in Crime No.395 of 2025 registered for the offences under Sections 115(2), 127, 351(2), 187, 188 BNS (Corresponding to Sections 323, 340, 506(i), 244 and 245 IPC) r/w. Sections 3(5), 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of SC/ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2015; and in Crime No. 396 of 2025 registered for the offences under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 296(b), 115(1), 351(3), 118(2) BNS (Corresponding to Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 321, 326 and 506(ii) IPC) r/w. Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 and Section 3 of Tamil Nadu Public Property (Prevention of Damage and Loss) Act, 1992.

2. The accused in one case is the defacto complainant in the other case. The allegations in both the cases which were registered as case and case in counter are that on account of prior enmity, they attacked each other with hands and sticks, and thus committed the aforesaid offences. 3/6

The learned counsels for the petitioners in both the cases would submit that due to the intervention of the elders, the parties have now arrived at a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed joint compromise memos dated 24.11.2025 and 20.11.2025 respectively.

4. The petitioners and the defacto complainant in both the cases are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.A.Manjanathan, SSI, Palani Taluk Police Station, Dindigul District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the victim in Crl.O.P.(MD)No. 21710 of 2025 has not received any compensation.

6. Considering the nature of allegations, the relationship, and the compromise arrived between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIRs pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned F.I.Rs are quashed and the 4/6

Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 24.11.2025 and 20.11.2025 respectively shall form part and parcel of this order. The petitioners shall jointly pay a sum of Rs.3,000/- as costs in each case to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench, and file a photocopy of the receipts along with a memo reporting compliance before the Registry.
